Synopsis
Our story is set in the long forgotten village of Fermstone, where the peaceful inhabitants are terrorized by the raids of two vicious witch sisters... Well, we could say of one vicious witch, as the other one doesn’t really seem to fit in her role: rather than potions, maledictions, and Sabbaths, she prefers puppies, candies, and teddy bears. A clumsy thief and a couple of inquisitors will come to visit the two witches and the tale will fall in a vortex of misunderstanding, enchantments, martial arts, golems, stamppot recipes and – maybe – love. When a Witch is in Love... is a smart, funny, enjoyable, surprising, sparkling and - list of other positive adjectives- comedy, which will increase your life appreciation level and the desire of transforming your friends into big greenish mushy toads.

- When a Witch is In Love originally wasn't voted in at a GMA, but the creatives decided to perform the play using their own budget and assets. GUTS allowed the play to bear the logo, making it not an official play as such.
- The writer of the play, Tiziano Rovai, wrote the entire play in Italian during his high school years. The play was performed once after which the director, a friend of Tiziano, translated the play into English.
- The play had a special type of advertising, publishing a "mockumentary" consisting out of multiple small episodes. These were all thought off and filmed on one single day on camp, and rumors go that there are many more unpublished chapters.
- When a Witch is in Love was nominated for a Cardozo Award, namely best supporting role (Rodney Wierenga).
